Hole Park Gardens

Iden Croft Herb Gardens
The whole area of the 12 acre nursery is only a few feet above sea level in the bowl of the heart of the Weald of Kent. It was once the site of a prehistoric Wealden lake, the soil in the centre of the land is deep clay and silt, some of the outer parts have silver sand, sometimes seams of 'Bethersden Marble' crop up containing fresh water shell fossils.
